ZenMode is a powerful browser extension that helps you hide YouTube Shorts, Twitch distractions, Bilibili recommendations, and more. Customize your browsing experience and improve your digital wellbeing.
Free & Open Source • No Data Collection
ZenMode has hidden Shorts, sidebar recommendations, and the home feed. You can now focus on searching for what you really want to watch.
Built from the ground up to restore your digital peace.
Stop the doomscrolling. We completely remove Shorts from the home page, sidebar, and search results.
Focus on the stream. Hide recommended channels, bits, and noisy UI elements to keep your eyes on the action.
Want to keep the home feed but hide the sidebar? Or just hide comments? Control exactly what you see with the popup menu.
No login required. No tracking. Pure JavaScript and CSS for maximum speed and zero data collection.
Hide the top navigation bar, notification icons, or even the YouTube logo for a true "Zen" viewing experience.
One click to "Hide All Videos" on the home page. Turn YouTube into a search-only tool, not a time-wasting machine.
Absolutely not. ZenMode runs entirely locally on your browser and does not communicate with any external servers.
Click the ZenMode icon in your browser toolbar. You can toggle specific features or click "Reset All" to return to defaults.
Version 2.0 supports YouTube, Twitch, and Bilibili. We are working on adding support for more social media sites soon.
Simple, transparent, and privacy-first.
ZenMode operates entirely locally on your device. We do not collect, store, sell, or transmit any of your personal data, browsing history, or usage habits.
We use your browser's local storage capabilities (Chrome Storage API) solely to save your preferences (e.g., remembering that you want to hide Shorts). These settings never leave your computer.
ZenMode requires "Host Permissions" for YouTube solely to execute the visual changes you requested (hiding elements). We do not view or modify your data on other websites.
